Accounting systems & migration

When your systems can't keep up, finance ends up living in spreadsheets. We can get far more out of the setup you already have, or move you onto something better. We handle the data, reporting, integrations and training as one project, so your first month end on the new system feels like any other.

Your system is holding the business back, but changing it feels risky.

Change systems without losing track of your numbers, or anything else along the way.

What we take care of

01

Start with what your business needs

We look at where your information comes from, where it's being retyped, which reports are missing and what your team needs the system to do. Then we help you choose the right system and add-ons for how your business operates, and plan the move from start to finish. If a smaller change to your current set-up would do the job, we'll tell you that too.

02

Move your data with checks at every step

Every move starts with a detailed plan: how long it will take, the best time to switch, how much history to bring across and what your team needs along the way. Then we check every opening balance (customers, suppliers, unpaid invoices, bank, VAT and fixed assets) and reconcile old against new as we go. Anything that can't sensibly move stays easy to find.

03

Test the whole working cycle

A successful login isn't a successful migration. We test everything your team does day to day, from purchases, sales and approvals to payment and payroll links, VAT and your management report. Then we stay close through your first month end to sort anything that crops up.

The systems behind the numbers.

Your systems hold the data from sales, bills, payments and payroll. Whatever you use, from mainstream accounting software to custom-built systems, we connect and check it, bringing the information together so the numbers line up and your reporting shows what's really happening across the business. And if your set-up is holding you back, we can implement new systems and integrations from start to finish.

See what gets checked

More than moving
the balances.

Customer accounts, supplier records and reporting detail all need to carry through. The first payment run and the first month end need to work too.

Nothing is switched on until it agrees.

Migration reconciliation

Example

Halden & Rowe · opening balances · illustrative business

✓  Receivables reconciled: £286,400

✓

Previous system £286,400 · new system £286,400 · difference £0

Select a check to see the detail.

Customer balances matched

The balance on each customer account agrees to the previous system. Open invoices are ready for chasing as normal.

Supplier balances matched

Open supplier invoices and credits agree to the previous system, ready for the next payment run.

Reporting detail retained

Channel and entity codes are checked against the reporting the business needs.

First payment run and month end tested

Supplier payment files, bank reconciliations, journals and the reporting pack have been tested in the new system.

Signed off before your team starts using it.
